Publish to your blog with Micropub
So you have a blog and want to include your Crucial Tracks? You are in luck!
With Micropub support, you can now connect blogging services like Pika, Pagechord, Micro.blog, and others that support the Micropub API and access tokens.
It’s simple to set up too! On the Crucial Tracks Apps & Services page, you simply need to paste in your Micropub endpoint and the access/app token for your service. Save that and you’ll see some configuration options for your post template.

Then, when you create a new post you’ll see Share to Micropub in the share box. When that is checked, your Crucial Track entry will be sent to your blog service and a new post will be created.
For now, there are two basic page type options: standard post with title or titleless post. There are also template variables you can use with your template to pull in aspects of your Crucial Tracks entry, like artist, song title, date, etc.

The template passes directly into your blogging system, so HTML and markdown is supported, based on how your service handles that markup. Feel free to experiment and find a template that works for you!
Services
This section will be updated with services as they are tested. If you know of one that works, send me a note!

- Your Micropub endpoint is: https://api.pagecord.com/micropub

Pika

- Go to Apps in your settings and create a token
Note: we currently only support publishing to one blog, if you have multiple micro.blogs set up let us know and I’ll add it to list of future upgrades.
Static Sites
There are ways to add Micropub support to static site generators (SSG) like 11ty. Depending on your configuration, you can use tokens like a Github Personal Access Token along with the Micropub endpoint created for your blog. There are lots of tutorials and plugins out there, so definitely search for your SSG + micropub to add support for your static blog.
