Fugazi is the answer. Exhibit A, from today: Fugazi responds to Vans X Fugazi shoe collection:
"Have you got the slightest fucking idea about our ethics?"
Still punk. 40 years after formation and like 25 years after their last release.
For today's prompt...
Exhibit B, today's song: "Do You Like Me".
From an interview with Guy Picciotto by Chris Summerlin, Diskant 1998 (via Genius):
“The lyrics to Do You Like Me are kind of a collage of 3 separate ideas. It starts like a love song then veers into a comment on prison construction as growth economy in the USA, then derails into a fantasy about this defence contractor’s headquarters burning down (Lockheed and Martin Marietta had just merged to create a defence industry titan of terrifying proportion and they opened their headquarters in nearby Bethesda), then the song just spirals back into itself”.
End of the lesson, time for one more question: Do you like me?

Let's try to forget that Rona Rousey used it as her entrance music and think of the good times instead.

Killing in the Name, played on my new mini-stereo in my bedroom, almost full volume and enough to make my usually laidback Dad come racing up stairs to shout at me to turn it down.
Rebellion in my teenage years, sweary rock, and as I unpicked the language used through the rest of the album I realised how angry and how rebellious this entire album was, and what they stood for as a band.
Still have to turn this one up whenever it comes on!

"Ouhhhhh ou-ou-ouuuh... Well, well... Tutudu-tutuuuuu !"
Morceau assez pénible du reste.

Share a song that represents rebellion or freedom to you. - Masters of War by Bob Dylan, performed by Eddie Vedder
The lyrics are just as powerful 60 years on as they were in the cold war days when Dylan wrote this. "Let me ask you one question, Is your money that good, Will it buy you forgiveness, Do you think that it could, I think you will find, When your death takes its toll, All the money you made, Will never buy back your soul"

When I answered today's prompt (Share a song that represents rebellion or freedom to you.) back in January of this year, I said "REBEL" by Anne Wilson was my only choice for this question. It still is my only choice, so I have no new answer for today's prompt. Today I am posting a song by former Abba member Agnetha Fältskog instead.
