Why is this one of my Desert Island Discs?

One of my great regrets is that I never got to see this band live. My friend Kris introduced me to Morphine through a mixtape in 1996, and I've loved them ever since. I'm pretty sure the song was Cure for Pain, but I can't remember now. Three guys, sad songs, a saxophone, drums and a weird three string bass thing and all the cigarette smoke, angst and melancholy you could want. Great songwriting, and well, just listen.
