Today's artist is Fruit Bats! I used to travel a lot for work, and when I had a car, I'd find a used record store and go buy CDs when I had the chance. I think I bought my first Fruit Bats album in Austin in 2004? This is from their 2005 album, Spelled in Bones, and is my favorite song of theirs.

I had a migraine yesterday and don't want it to come back so today is Nils Frahm day. This is the only song by him I have in my collection and it's a collaboration with Ólafur Arnalds, who would have also been a good choice for today.

Today is the last day of France Week and I picked an artist I don't know very well, Charlotte Gainsbourg (well, other than this song, which has been on a bunch of playlists because it's awesome).

Today's actually a two artist day (because Charlotte's discography won't fill the entire workday) - Nils Frahm is after this, who is completely new to me, so, Charlotte gets the crucial track for today!

Update: I have been lead astray! A coworker recommended Nils, and another coworker just informed me that he's actually German! I regret this error. I will never trust anyone again. I'm switching to Sébastien Tellier, who is actually French.

It's day three of France Week and that means it's Phoenix day! Another band that sings in English, so you'd be forgiven for forgetting their Frenchness. But, fear not! They're French! Day two of France Week and our artist is Skip the Use! They sing in English, so it's hard to tell they're even French. They create incredibly catchy songs and love jumping genres. They feel a little like Bloc Party if it was a real party you'd want to go to?
