Why is this one of my Desert Island Discs?

First, I'll say that I'm not sure I will be able to pick 8 of these. I'm much more of a singles and individual tracks person than an albums person because there are so many albums that only have 1 or 2 tracks that I like on them. That being said, Lauren Talley's self-titled solo debut album is one that I can listen to all the way through without skipping tracks. I've been on Last.fm for over 20 years and she is my most played artist and this is my most played album. It's a good mix of ballads and up-tempo songs and I just love the attitude in Lauren's voice. She's a wonderful vocalist with a powerful and passionate voice. She really puts her heart into her singing.
