Yesterday, our daughter Stella played the local porchfest - a double set on bass: one with her high school jazz band and then another with a 90s alternative cover band that features the jazz drummer, his dad on vocals, and the dad's friends on guitar. They played this song in their set and I forgot how good of a song it is...

She had a ton of fun, especially with the rock band. She's been playing primarily jazz for the last four (plus) years and I think she's getting a little bored with standards (even though they are very good and have played multiple jazz festivals over the years)... her smile was ear to ear during the rock show, though. So cool!
