My grandma gave me 20$ for a birthday, and I bought 2 albums: The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show by blink 182, and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water by Limp Bizkit. Grandma wasn’t happy 😆

I was an emo kid, so, lots of sad, emotional songs filled my ears in high school. This one, from tiny band out of Tennessee, dug the deepest.

What is your favorite song from last year?

My friend AJ got me started back in 2014, making a “best of” playlist every year; so this is easy! It had been a long 13 years between albums, so I was stoked when The Starting Line released a new one in 2025.

Has to be my first Thousand Foot Krutch concert. They sounded so much like Linkin Park (to me, at the time) and the concert was so insanely fun and energetic.

What artist or band changed your music taste forever? Pick your favourite song of theirs.

Linkin Park was the gateway to heavy music for me, and so many kids my age. Hearing the heavy guitars, next to the rap that I already enjoyed, and then guttural screams on top of it all... it opened my mind to an entirely new genre, and unlocked my love for heavy, emotional music.
