Whatβs a song youβve had on repeat recently?
Money by The Beaches. It has a great riff and reminds me a LOT of the song Anno Satana from The Smashing Pumpkins. They're very similar, but also different songs. Great stuff from The Beaches.

Scenes from an Italian Restaurant
Billy Joel
Share a song that tells a great story.
It's an obvious one, but Scenes From an Italian Restaurant is a great example. Not only is there an obvious story, but the song is really 3 songs in one. Masterfully performed by Billy Joel, it may be a longer song but it's a fantastic story about how life's aspirations don't always work out.

I Ran (So Far Away)
The Beaches
A new discovery for me last week was this fantastic Beaches cover of I Ran (So far away). Itβs a great version and I love how this little indie group has finally found success.

Brand New Me by Nine Days was the right song at the right time for a LOT of reasons.

That Girl Could Sing
Jackson Browne
What is your favorite song from last year?
Contrary to my Apple Music Replay and stats from ListenBrainz, I'd say it's That Girl Could Sing by Jackson Browne. I'm not a huge fan of his, but this is a great song that reminds me a lot of Runnin' On Empty. It's a great song that was unknown to me until last year.

The World Is New 1
Save Ferris
What artist or band changed your music taste forever? Pick your favorite song of theirs.
Save Ferris easily changed my listening habits, getting me to branch out from 90s grunge to enjoying other genres. Of course their cover of "Come On Eileen" is the track everyone knew, but hearing their CD It Means Everything was eye-opening to getting me into Ska. If I have to pick one song besides the cover, it would be the opener "The World Is New".

Friends of P.
The Rentals
Okay, here goes: my first Crucial Track.
What was your favorite song in high school? Why did it resonate?
It's impossible to narrow four years down to a single song. I listened to (and continue to) LOTS of music. So, I'll say this is ONE favorite instead of THE favorite and that is Friends of P by The Rentals. I'd never heard anything like that before and it was just really catchy and weird and fun.
