A song from your teenage years.

This was the song that introduced me to Jamiroquai and really solidified my love of funk and disco.

It's crazy how this chorus still applies as I learn more and more how crazy this world is.

Futures made of virtual insanity, now Always seem to be governed by this love we have For useless twisting of our new technology Oh, now there is no sound, for we all live underground, whoa

Couple this with an awesome music video and you have pure magic.

A song from your most listened to artist of the last 20 years.

Looking at the number of plays in Apple Music, this one is in the top 25. In my home, the chorus is a bit of a call and response as one person will say the the "oh baby baby" and someone else will do the "la la la la la" part.

A song from the 1990s that you like or means something to you.

I think this song came to me because I need some time to reset.

Kick off your shoes and relax your feet (Come on, yeah) Party on down to the Xscape beat, just kick it (Oh, baby)

It's been crazy the last couple of months.

A song from the 2010s that you like or means something to you.

This was the first single on the Teenage Dream album. I think it really cemented Katy Perry as a pop icon as it dominated the charts. When it came out, it felt like it was on the radio everywhere! I don't know if it's because I listen to top 40 stations and live in California.

It felt like song that you could just have on in the background and not cause too much fuss.

One of the things that really struck me is that this album is the first to have 5 number one singles after Michael Jackson's Bad. Good Job Katy.

A song you've seen performed live, or would really like to see performed live?

I saw him preform this song and talk about this song on stage. It was a funny exchange and he interacted with playfully with the crowd.

A song that reminds you of a particular friend.

This is the song that they played at my Junior High graduation. I remember feeling that I was never going to meet my friends again as we were going off to the next step in our lives.

We were done being children, we were going to High School!

I din't know it was a love song until much later. At this point, it marked the end of something else.
