#365songs (112 / 365)
I think I must have picked up Who's Next after seeing Matthew Friedberger of the Fiery Furnaces cite the Who as the inspiration for the kinds of multi-part song suites that are all over Blueberry Boat. There aren't really any of those on Who's Next but it seemed to be well-regarded, so I picked it up, and here we are.
Who's Next did not spur me on to a The Who odyssey because while it was a fine-enough album it all seemed to pale in comparison to its leading track. The only other song on there I really remember is "Won't Get Fooled Again." It's good! But it's not "Baba O'Riley," which has it all: the synths, the drums, the powerful-as-hell vocals. IDK, this is a pretty famous song (even if a lot of people maybe think it's called "Teenage Wasteland") and so I don't feel like I need to tell you all about it or whatever. I just think it's really good.
