A song that reminds you of somewhere you lived.

This song is, unfortunately, tied to a massive panic attack that I had once. It was scary. I tried to hide it so no one would know it was happening which only made it worse.

It was the late 90s. My friends were still in college (I'd had to drop out). We were doing what friends did in college in the 90s, and it wasn't studying or homework if you get my drift.

One of us played this song. My intoxicated, immature, and still very much damaged from complex PTSD brain interpreted it as a subtle attack on me and my taste.

I spiraled into a terrible headspace thinking my friends weren't really my friends. That they actually couldn't stand me and liked it better when I wasn't there. That I'd invaded their space, and that I had no right being there.

I can't listen to it (which sucks because it's a great song), but it does remind me of somewhere I lived.
